ROTOPOR® Rasensubstrat

Rotopor® turf substrate - the perfect foundation for your lawn

A healthy, green lawn starts with the right foundation: the turf substrate. It is the basis for a strong and resilient lawn, as it ensures aeration, water retention and nutrient supply. When selecting the right substrate, both the quality of the soil and the choice of the right mixture play a key role.

Advantages of turf substrate

Optimum nutrient supply

Lawn substrate contains a balanced mixture of minerals and nutrients that promote growth and keep the lawn healthy and green.

Better aeration

The fine structure of the substrate enables ideal aeration of the roots, which is particularly important for heavily used lawns.

Water balance

Lawn substrate ensures even water distribution and storage, making the lawn less susceptible to drought stress.

Improving the soil

If the soil is too firm or clayey, turf substrate can help to improve the soil structure and achieve better aeration.

Lawn substrates for a dense, healthy and resilient lawn

What is turf substrate?

Lawn substrate is a special soil mixture that is used for the establishment, maintenance and renovation of lawns. It ensures an optimal soil structure, improves water permeability and promotes aeration of the roots. This supports the growth of strong, dense grass and increases the resilience of the lawn.

Composition of turf substrate

A high-quality turf substrate consists of a sophisticated mixture of different natural materials, such as natural pumice and lava:

- Natural pumice and lava - ensures good water permeability and prevents waterlogging

- Humus and compost - improves the nutrient supply and promotes soil life

- Topsoil and loess - gives the substrate structure and retains moisture

This mixture creates a loose, well-aerated soil that optimally stores both water and nutrients and releases them to the grass roots.

Application recommendation

For a healthy and dense lawn, the lawn substrate should be applied evenly and worked well into the existing soil structure. We also recommend applying a suitable lawn fertiliser to the lawn during the growing season in spring and autumn to optimise the nutrient supply.
