The Rotopor® substrates and soils
The most important component of the innovative ROTOPOR® substrates was formed around 12,900 years ago during the last volcanic eruption in Germany. Natural pumice rich in air pores was formed directly beneath the earth's surface - a pure, silicate mineral with unique properties.
Our substrates consist of regionally sourced, natural raw materials such as

Lava rock & basalt - improve soil aeration and promote root development.
Humus & compost - provide important organic nutrients for healthy plant growth.
Topsoil - provides a natural foundation for many plant species.
