Rotopor® - Lava - volcanic rock for green diversity
Rotec Lava combines natural origin with technical performance. The porous, structurally stable volcanic rock is ideal wherever soil needs to be improved, water needs to be channelled or sustainable vegetation areas need to be created - from extensive green roofs to tree pits in the city.
Our Rotec lava comes from the regional extraction of volcanic rock that was formed 12,900 years ago by the eruptions of the Laacher See volcano. The material owes its natural pore structure and high stability to its special formation: lava cools under high pressure and forms a light yet robust rock - ideal for modern applications in gardening, landscaping and civil engineering.
With its versatile properties, lava is a real all-rounder in our world of substrates - ecologically sound, regionally available and permanently functional.
